Shea Butter Center is a division of JusLo and Associates under the auspices of Pupil of the Eye Enterprises,  currently located in Gastonia, North Carolina. The company was started in 2003 and specializes in the online promotion of health by providing timely information and articles on nutrition and nutritional products that assist people in realizing their goal of optimal health. In 2005, Shea-Butter-Negroes.com was added as our natural skin care resource center, and in 2006 we changed our name to the Shea Butter Center.                               

"I became aware of shea butter and its potential benefits quite accidentally after deciding to let my hair grow. As an American of African Descent, I wanted to keep my hair in its natural state and have a healthy scalp that wasn’t bombarded with harmful chemicals on a daily or weekly basis. And, of course once you choose the natural path for your hair, whether it be dreadlocks, or a two-twist style or a mini or micro-fro, someone along the way is bound to tell you about shea butter.

"I quickly learned that the shea butter oil I bought from my local 'Asian-owned' beauty supply store was not cheap, even the kind that was not 100% pure. In fact, when I asked the sales lady if she had any 100% pure, it turned out there was none to be found in the store.

"So I started looking on the net—cause I’m an Internet junkie anyway—for cheaper prices, and soon found a source for unrefined pure shea butter products. I now buy it by the pound, warm up just enough for my weekly after-shampooing hair conditioning treatment and I am quite satisfied with the results. My hair now has more sheen, is softer and easier to comb and actually has a silky feel to it. From wooly to silky...I know that sounds incredible, but I'm just calling as I see it.

"To compliment this new chemical-free natural products lifestyle, I also buy the African black soap from another supplier to wash/shampoo my hair. This works well on my hair and has done wonders for my complexion and skin in the short amount of time that I have used it." 

Just as RecallingHealth.com was founded after I discovered a company with liquid dietary supplements that changed my life, this shea butter site is now my attempt to share with you these exceptional natural products and black soap that I have been turned on to.

My goal is to provide you with the best information on the net related to shea butter, its uses, properties and benefits. I find that information is power, and the more you have of it, the better decisions you are able to make. As I surf the net for my own information and to find quality products for my own use, I will be sharing those same resources with you through this site and the Free Shea Skins Ezine.
